Indiana Municipal Power Agency is a joint action agency created by Indiana’s municipal utilities to provide their complete wholesale power supply and electric transmission delivery. IMPA’s headquarters is in Carmel, Indiana. At IMPA, we support 61 communities in Indiana and Ohio through providing low-cost, reliable, and environmentally responsible electricity, as well as a variety of other services to help in the overall success of each town or city.
Our team is seeking an on-site IT Specialist to coordinate with our outside managed services provider to develop an overall technology strategy to manage our Informational and Operational Technology infrastructure. This is a newly-created position and will work with us to plan, execute and ensure the successful completion of our technology projects.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- 10+ years of experience as an IT specialist or in a technical support, system analysis or network administration role and a proficiency in Microsoft and CISCO products
- Knowledge of network administration protocols, firewalls and security practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work with technical and non-technical users with varying levels of technical proficiency
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Working with our managed services provider to ensure general IT support, including our audio-visual, security and phone systems, making hardware recommendations, etc.
- Coordinating our IT and OT cybersecurity initiatives, data protection policies and incidence response plan and working with our MSP to manage our cybersecurity processes.
- Ensuring general OT support including working with our generation department to coordinate support for network infrastructure maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades, NERC CIP compliance and SCADA systems.
- Managing our IT inventory, assisting with hardware/software budgeting and documenting our IT and OT policies and procedures.
