IT Security Support Analyst

Solu is seeking an experienced IT Security Support Analyst to provide technical support across both the Information Security and Help Desk teams. This cross-functional role requires a technology professional who can assist with security operations, end-user support, incident management, vulnerability tracking, network monitoring, and regulatory compliance activities.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience performing technical work in information technology security and support environments and will be comfortable collaborating across teams while also working independently with minimal supervision. This position requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and cybersecurity threats.


Responsibilities

  • Provide general technology support to end users and internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to, troubleshoot, and implement support tickets.
  • Assist with documenting, managing, and tracking security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Perform network monitoring, reporting, and security-related analysis.
  • Support compliance efforts with regulatory guidelines, policies, and industry standards.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze security logs and reports.
  • Utilize incident reporting and support ticketing systems to document and resolve issues.
  • Assist with network and computer security testing activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with security, infrastructure, and support teams.
  • Communicate technical information effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Respond promptly to technical, system, and/or emergency issues when contacted outside of scheduled work hours, remotely or in person as needed.
  • Stay up to date with cybersecurity trends, risks, and emerging technologies.
  • Perform related work as required.


Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or current certifications within information technology.
  • 2 years’ experience in information security related support.
  • 2 years’ experience in helpdesk related support.
  • Experience with Microsoft server and workstation operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 products.
  • Experience with incident reporting and support ticketing systems.
  • Experience with network and computer security testing tools.
  • Experience reading and interpreting security logs and reports.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices of information security.
  • Experience working with Tenable and Splunk.
  • Associate’s degree or current certifications within information technology.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
  • Knowledge of business process analysis methods.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Stays up to date with cybersecurity trends and risks.
