Role Overview
The Manager - SAP Distribution acts as a Business Analyst, collaborating with department leads in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Inventory Control to define requirements and engineer solutions. This individual must earn the trust of business users and maintain deep knowledge of the ERP system (SAP) and all related integrations
The Manager partners with HQ to identify opportunities and define a roadmap that aligns with the global corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Application Management
- Lead major projects in coordination with regional and headquarters teams.
- Own the SAP Distribution Domain, including local customizing for SAP SD, MM, and Master Data.
- Ensure a solid support model is executed by various teams, including upstream systems.
- Represent the regional office in the worldwide community to ensure initiatives align with global strategic direction.
- Act as the primary point of contact for business teams regarding SAP Distribution and Referential Data.
- Define and apply security policies for applications within the scope.
- Monitor production support for the ERP and all interfaces (Middleware/ETL/Job Schedules).
Project Management
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans for new business requests.
- Coordinate tasks across business users and international technical teams.
- Participate in functional and integration testing.
- Provide status reporting to the Executive Team and HQ IT
- Prepare and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and document results.
Requirements
Professional Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of increasing responsibility in IT, with prior experience as a business analyst or consultant.
- Proven focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an Agile environment.
- Strong communication, self-awareness, and empathy.
Technical Qualifications
- Comprehensive domain experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Master Data.
- Core competence in SAP ECC 6.0 (SD/MM), including integration with finance.
- Proficiency in Idoc/EDI interfaces, Batch Jobs, LSMW, and Batch Input Sessions.
- Preferred: Knowledge of SAP S4, SAP AFS solutions, and integration with external Order Management Systems.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Travel required: approximately 0-5%.
- Ability to walk, stand, and reach frequently; occasional lifting or pushing up to 50 lbs.
