HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Job Summary:
Core Responsibilities
- System Build & Design:work as a team to configure and maintainBeaker CP(Clinical Pathology) andAP(Anatomic Pathology) workflows, including test compendia, result entry, and reporting templates.
- Workflow Optimization: work as a team to partner with laboratory leadership to analyze current processes, identifying and implementing system enhancements that reduce manual work and improve patient safety.
- Interface Management: work as a team to oversee the integration between laboratory instruments, middleware, and the broader Epic electronic health record.
- Troubleshooting & Support:Serve as technical points of contact for lab staff, resolving complex system issues, managing Epic Nova notes, and performing root-cause analysis.
- Quality & Compliance:work as a team to develop and execute rigorous testing scripts for system upgrades and new features, ensuring all builds meet CAP, CLIA, and HIPAA regulatory standards.
- End-User Training:work as a team to translate technical system updates into clear, actionable guidance for medical technologists and pathologists to ensure high adoption and efficiency.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, IT management, software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems, applied engineering, health information management (HIM), health informatics, nursing informatics, nursing, health science, education, business administration, health care, or a related field. Human Resources (HR) may accept directly related work experience on a 1-year:1-year basis for required education. [NOTE: Experience credited in lieu of formal education will not be credited toward the minimum experience requirement below (i.e., the same experience will not be counted twice)].
Required Experience:
- Two (2) years of directly related professional experience
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Epic Certification:Active certification inEpic Beaker CPand/orEpic Beaker APis required.
- Middleware Expertise:Preference will be given to candidates with experience managingData Innovations (DI) Instrument Managerto streamline instrument-to-LIS connectivity.
