INVESTIGATIVE TECHNICIAN (EXTRA-HELP)

Please Note:This recruitment has been limited to candidates possessing a specific experience background related to the specific position vacancy.

OPTION 1:

• Experience: Two (2) years of full time, paid work experience performing one or more of the following: conducting investigative interviews and preparing investigative reports; processing and serving subpoenas and other legal documents; locating and tracking evasive and/or difficult subjects; and/or evidence collection and preservation.
  

OPTION 2:

• Education: Fifteen (15) semester units of coursework in administration of justice or criminology that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system. A copy of your transcripts verifying completion of coursework is required and must be attached to your application.
  

• Experience: One (1) year of full time, paid work experience performing one or more of the following: conducting investigative interviews and preparing investigative reports; processing and serving subpoenas and other legal documents; locating and tracking evasive and/or difficult subjects; and/or evidence collection and preservation.

In addition to the options listed above, the following is also required:

• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  

• License: Possession of a valid driver's license.

• The eligible list for this recruitment may be extended up to 12 months, and may be used to fill both extra-help and permanently allocated positions.
• Individuals selected for extra-help appointment may be transitioned to a permanently allocated position at a later date as authorized by the Fresno County Personnel Rules.
