We're looking for a detail-driven, analytically sharp Warehouse Inventory Control Analyst/Cycle Counter to own inventory accuracy in our Warmies Warehouse.. This is a hybrid role that lives both on the warehouse floor and at your desk, you'll spend your time equally doing hands-on cycle counting and digging into data to find root causes, track KPIs, and improve processes that directly impact fulfillment speed and accuracy.


This position is 5 days in our Dundee, IL Office. No Relocation.


Key Responsibilities:

Analysis & Inventory Management (approx. 60% — office-based)

• Analyze inventory data and trends to proactively prevent stock inaccuracies and fulfillment delays.

• Identify root causes of inventory variances (e.g., picking errors, mis-slots, receiving issues, damages) and drive corrective action.

• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy KPIs including location accuracy, shrinkage, and order accuracy.

• Leverage advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and macros, to automate analysis and improve data reliability.

• Maintain accurate inventory records within WMS/ERP systems.

• Support slotting optimization efforts to improve picking efficiency and reduce errors.

• Assist with peak season inventory planning and preparation for full physical counts.

• Train associates on proper scanning, handling, and inventory control procedures.

• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and quality expectations.


Floor Operations (approx. 40% — warehouse floor)

• Perform frequent, high-volume cycle counts across pick faces, reserve locations, and bulk storage using RF scanning equipment.

• Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Partner closely with picking, packing, receiving, and replenishment teams to resolve inventory issues in real time.


Qualifications:

•       Associates/ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field , or equivalent work experience.

•       2+ years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, planning, or data/analytics-related roles in a high-volume warehouse environment.

•       Strong understanding of pick/pack workflows and inventory movement.

•       RF scanning experience required; must be comfortable working on the warehouse floor.

•       Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and macros; experience working with large datasets.

•       Comfortable working in systems-driven environments (WMS, MRP, ERP, planning tools, reporting databases).

•       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret ambiguous or incomplete data.

•       Prior exposure to inventory forecasting, excess and obsolete management, or materials planning.

•       Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally across warehouse departments.

•       Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

•       APICS / ASCM certification (e.g., CPIM or CSCP).

•       Experience with slotting optimization or warehouse layout analysis
