We are looking for an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to work on 8-13 weeks contract for one of our clients, a hospital, located in Brooklyn, NY.
Minimum 2 shifts per week (Monday – Friday); 9:00AM-5:00PM or 8:00AM – 4:00PM.
Requirements:
Active, unencumbered RN license (state or compact); BSN preferred
1+ year recent acute-care RN experience (ICU/ED/PACU/Cath Lab strongly preferred)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Competency in moderate/procedural sedation and airway management
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Perform pre-procedure assessment, education, IV access; verify consent and site/time-out
Prepare room, equipment, and supplies; maintain sterile/aseptic technique
Circulate and assist during procedures; support sedation per protocol
Monitor hemodynamics, EKG, oxygenation; administer meds/contrast; manage reactions
Uphold radiation safety (PPE, dose monitoring) for patient and staff
Handle specimens, device/implant tracking, and instrument counts
Document care, medications, and procedural events in EMR
Provide post-procedure recovery, discharge teaching, and PACU/floor handoff
Coordinate with radiologists, technologists, anesthesia, and referring teams
Participate in on-call coverage; maintain inventory and readiness of the IR suite
