The Role
As an IR RN, you will be at the heart of patient care, driving the nursing process from assessment to implementation. You will collaborate closely with physicians and nurse practitioners to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Collect and analyze healthcare data systematically to determine nursing diagnoses.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive, patient-centered plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside a high-performing team to coordinate unit activities and promote a healing environment.
- Quality & Safety: Participate in quality improvement programs and maintain standards set by the NY State Nurse Practice Act and The Joint Commission.
- Patient Advocacy: Educate patients and families to facilitate healthy adjustments to new or changed health patterns.
Requirements
To ensure the highest level of care for our patients, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Licensure: Active Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Certifications: Current BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, and PALS required.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology (IR).
- Experience in Nuclear Medicine is a significant advantage (Not mandatory)
- Skills: Fluency in English (written/spoken), strong manual dexterity, and the physical stamina required for a clinical setting.
Schedule & Duration
- Immediate Start: We are looking for candidates who can begin ASAP.
- Term: 3+ month initial contract with the possibility of extension based on performance and volume.
