Job Title: Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist
Location: Olympia, Washington
Pay Rate: $2,771.96/week
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Call: Required (1 weekday + 1 weekend/month)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a travel assignment in Olympia, WA at a leading acute care facility. This role involves working in a fast-paced IR department, supporting vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists with a variety of complex procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures.
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patients.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform and assist with procedures such as:
- Angioplasty & stent placements
- Embolization procedures
- Biopsies (liver, etc.)
- Paracentesis & thoracentesis
- Dialysis graft interventions
- Thrombolysis / thrombectomy
- Nephrostomy & gastrostomy tube placements
- Operate imaging equipment (Philips, GE systems, C-Arm).
- Document procedures and patient data accurately in EPIC/PACS.
- Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of IR Tech experience
- ARRT (R) – Required
- BLS Certification
- Active Washington State License (must be in hand)
- Experience with interventional procedures and sterile technique
Preferred Qualifications
- IR/CV Certification
- Experience with Philips or GE imaging systems
- Background in ICU, ER, OR, or outpatient settings
Work Environment
- Facility: Providence St. Peter Hospital (325-bed acute care hospital)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Fast-paced IR department with advanced equipment including Philips biplane and GE hybrid rooms
