About The Role
This role focuses on improving AI systems’ clinical reasoning using high-quality, evidence-based internal medicine data. The work involves designing realistic patient scenarios, evaluating AI-generated outputs, and enhancing how AI models reason about diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care.
Position: Internal Medicine Expert
Type: Hourly Contract
Engagement: Remnote Global | Part-time
Compensation: $130–$180/hour
Location: Remote (United States & Canada)
Role Responsibilities
- Design clinically realistic scenarios based on internal medicine practice, including diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, risk stratification, and guideline-based care
- Develop high-quality "gold standard" responses at attending-level depth and accuracy
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs using structured medical rubrics
- Provide detailed written feedback to improve model reasoning and clinical performance
- Participate in onboarding sessions and specialty calibration activities
- Ensure outputs align with evidence-based internal medicine standards and best practices
Requirements
- Attending physicians: Board certified with a current, active, unrestricted medical license
- Resident physicians: Final year of residency (recent graduates must be board-eligible)
- Fellows: Board-certified or board-eligible in their primary specialty with an active medical license
- Internal Medicine attendings, hospitalists, subspecialists, fellows, and final-year residents are encouraged to apply
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
Engagement Details
- Fully remote and asynchronous work environment
- Standard commitment: ~20 hours/week (may increase based on demand and performance)

- Rolling start date after onboarding approval
- Ongoing engagement with periodic review
