Job Description:


The LP Services - Front End Team provides first level support to the end users of an application known as FrontInvest (eFront). The application is one of two core accounting applications currently in use by MUFG. There’s soon to be a third core accounting software added, which will total 3; FrontInvest (eFront), Investran, and the new addition will be an application called Entrilia. As part of the LP Services - Front End Team, the IT System Support Intern position will assist with triaging Level 1 type trouble tickets submitted through a ticketing system known as ServiceNow. You will be under the supervision of the LP Services – Front End Sr. Support Manager, and work closely with very experienced System Support Analysts, all of which will provide cross-training, instruction and mentoring. This will be a great way to gain some business experience while learning the details of root cause analysis, user access management, risk analysis and mitigation, and basic system functionality related to the support of accounting software.


Below is a sample list of some of the Intern assignments:


  • Providing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in multiple non-production software environments.
  • Ensure user submitted help tickets have the appropriate documentation attached to the ticket as directed by the Sr. System Support Manager.
  • Ensure user submitted help tickets have been resolved and closed appropriately, with steps used to resolve reported issues fully documented within the corresponding ticket.
  • Triaging trouble tickets, assigning specific responsible functional IT departments, and resolving basic reported software issues, both in production and non-production software environments.
  • Creating, Updating, and Deactivating user accounts in both production and non-production accounting software environments.
  • Assist LP Services – Front End Team with user management by creating, updating, and deactivating user accounts in various Banking Portals.
  • Assist the Sr. System Support Manager to create / update critical documentation needed by the application users.


Qualifications:


Education

  • Enrolled in college. Preference for a major in business, accounting, finance, or computer science
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0



Requirements

  • Availability to work up to 40 hour weeks during summer break
  • Ability to learn quickly from cross-training and instruction from a team member
  • Ability to stay focused on independent work with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Interest in learning and problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literate


Optional

  • Depending on performance during the summer internship, there could be an option to continue some internship hours throughout the Fall semester
