Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Drayage Sales Representative based in Atlanta, GA. Your mission is to aggressively grow our footprint by securing new business and deepening relationships with existing partners.

You will be responsible for the full sales lifecycle, with a heavy emphasis on proactive pipeline management and face-to-face engagement. We are looking for a closer who understands the nuances of the Atlanta and Savannah markets and can navigate the complexities of intermodal freight with ease.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospects, ensuring a steady flow of new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Customer & Prospect Meetings: Schedule and lead regular in-person and virtual meetings with prospective clients and current customers to present DTM’s value proposition and identify service needs.
  • KPI Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including targets for new account acquisition, revenue growth, and outbound activity levels.
  • RFQ & Bid Management: Manage the Request for Quote (RFQ) process from start to finish, ensuring all bids are prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Strategic Account Management: Act as the primary point of contact for your accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for service expansion.
  • Market Alignment: Stay current on port conditions in Savannah and rail activity in Atlanta to provide expert-level consultation to your clients.


Qualifications

  • Sales Drive: Proven experience in Sales, Lead Generation, and Account Management (Drayage or Intermodal experience is a significant advantage).
  • Regional Expertise: Familiarity with the Savannah Port and Atlanta Rail systems.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to handle objections, negotiate rates, and close high-value contracts.
  • Responsiveness: A sense of urgency in managing RFQs and customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the DTM brand professionally to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: * Expertise in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, and specifically Sheets for bid management and data tracking).
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage sales pipelines and activity reporting.


Salary & Compensation

  • Base Salary: $50,000 per year
  • Commission: Uncapped performance-based commission structure
