Interim Regulatory / Product Safety Counsel for Tech Company (on-site in Arlington, VA, or Seattle, WA)

A global technology company is seeking interim support from a Regulatory / Product Safety Attorney for at least 3 months for 40 hours per week. This role will start in early July and last through mid-October with potential for extension thereafter.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the Legal team with product compliance and regulatory inquiries related to product safety, recalls, environmental law and electrical products in Canada;
2. Preparing external reports on safety incidents to disclose to Canadian regulators;
3. Working with the Canadian Legal team to advise on an approach to regulatory compliance in certain areas.

The ideal candidate will have experience with communicating with regulators (preferably Canadian regulators, but U.S. is acceptable) and matters involving product safety regulations, environmental law, and/or electrical products. This is an on-site role in either Arlington, VA, or Seattle, WA.
