Position Overview & Schedule
- Start Date: ASAP; Orientation held every Monday
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (1800–0630)
- Scheduling: Modified self-scheduling with block scheduling options
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (flexible coverage)
- Floating: May float to ED or Med-Surg if experienced
- On-Call & Holidays: No on-call; no specific holiday requirements listed
Unit Details & Staffing
- Unit Size: 12-bed ICU with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Support Team: 24/7 Respiratory Therapist, Patient Care Technician, Health Unit Secretary
- Leadership: Nurse Manager assists with patient care when needed
- Supervision: Administrative Shift Coordinator available 24/7
Requirements & Clinical Experience
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ ICU experience required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
- Skills: Proficiency with ICU equipment and patient care
- Common Cases: STEMIs, coronary interventions, vents, ARDS, DKA, sepsis, CVA post-tPA
- Equipment & Drips: C-Arm, IABP (preferred), hemodynamic systems; drips include Amiodarone, Levophed, Propofol, Insulin, Heparin, among others
