Insurance Defence Attorney (3+ Years Experience) — Pittsburgh
A respected national litigation firm with a strong presence in Pittsburgh is seeking an Insurance Defence Attorney with a minimum of three years’ experience to join its expanding team. This role offers hands‑on litigation work, direct client interaction, and exposure to a wide range of defence matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage insurance defence files involving premises liability, property claims, professional liability, and general liability
- Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and coverage analyses
- Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances
- Provide strategic advice and reporting to insurer clients
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex, high‑exposure matters
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of insurance defence litigation experience
- Must be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and in good standing
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage a caseload while contributing to a collaborative team
- Comfortable communicating with insurer clients and meeting reporting expectations
Work Arrangement
Hybrid schedule:
- 4 days per week in the Pittsburgh office
- 1 day working from home
Compensation
- Salary range: $100,000 – $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience
