Overview
We are supporting a major nuclear operations organization seeking experienced Instructional Analysts / Developers to support a large-scale training initiative. This role focuses on task analysis, curriculum design, and training content development for operations and engineering teams within a highly regulated environment.
This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to workforce readiness, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across critical nuclear programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform task analysis across a large volume of operational job functions to identify training needs
- Apply the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development) to create structured training programs
- Develop and revise training materials for: Classroom instruction, Computer-based training (CBT), On-the-job training (OJT)
- Design learning objectives and evaluation methods (written exams, performance evaluations)
- Conduct DIF (Difficulty, Importance, Frequency) surveys to assess training requirements
- Support development of systems training for engineering teams
- Contribute to emergent training and analysis assignments as needed
- Track and report progress using structured assignment tracking tools
Required Qualifications
- ~5+ years of experience as an Instructional Analyst / Developer in the nuclear industry
- Strong experience applying ADDIE or similar instructional design methodologies
- Proven track record developing training for: Operations, Maintenance, Technical or engineering personnel
- Ability to translate complex technical processes into effective training content
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in education, engineering, or a technical discipline preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Preferred
- Experience in nuclear operations or high-hazard industrial environments
- Prior experience supporting DOE or similar regulated sites
- Background in systems training for engineering organizations
Work Environment & Requirements
- Primarily onsite in Richland, WA with occasional visits to nearby operational facilities
- Standard 4x10 schedule (Monday–Thursday)
- General office and field walkdown support (no hands-on field work required)
- Must be able to meet site access and training requirements
