Instructional Designer

We are working exclusively with a global gaming client to identify an experienced Instructional Designer to assist with a new Digital Assistant program (LLM tools/platforms). In this role, you will create and deliver engaging learning solutions that help employees worldwide adopt AI tools in their daily work. You’ll partner with business unit (BU) champions, functional leaders, and the AI Literacy team to drive consistent, responsible adoption.

The ideal consultant will be collaborative, creative, self-directed, adaptable, and able to communicate the value of AI to long-tenured employees with a balanced perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning Design & Development

• Design multimodal learning experiences such as simulations, quick-start guides, microlearning, scenario-based exercises, and eLearning modules.
• Build role-specific learning pathways, workflow playbooks, and prompt libraries tailored to BU needs.
• Use analytics and learner feedback to update or retire content and ensure ethical, compliant AI use.
• Apply iterative design practices (pilot, feedback, update) with appropriate governance.

Business Unit Support

• Partner with BU champions to assess needs and create scalable, customized training.
• Facilitate enablement sessions and create “minimum viable enablement” packages for global teams.
• Offer alternate enablement approaches to overcome resistance or low engagement.

Change Enablement

• Align with initiative communication and adoption strategies.
• Gather feedback, report on adoption metrics, and contribute to AI sustainment plans.

Start Date: Mid-April

Duration: 1 year with the possibility to extend

Hours: 40 hours per week; standard business hours

Location: Virtual

Experience Required:

• Proven expertise in instructional design and content development.
• Experience leading or supporting digital transformation initiatives, ideally with AI adoption at scale, or the ability to translate emerging AI tools into practical, workflow-based training.
• Former software development experience
• Experience actively applying AI in L&D, including utilizing and/or building custom GPTs, agentic AI, and Claude
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with comfort interacting from director to VP level.
• Excellent writing, visual design, and facilitation skills.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Proficiency with authoring tools (Storyline, Rise, etc.); most deliverables will not be SCORM-based.
• Comfortable using project management and content storage tools like Asana and Google Workspace.
• Must be able to provide a solid portfolio of work samples.

The pay range for this is $58.00 to $63.00 per hour W2. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
