Position Summary:
Salpointe Catholic High School seeks a dynamic and forward-thinking Instructional Coach to support and elevate instructional practice through standards-based, college-preparatory rigor and innovative pedagogy. The Instructional Coach will collaborate closely with faculty, department chairs, and administrators to strengthen teaching effectiveness, foster professional growth, and advance student achievement through data-informed instruction, intentional lesson design, and cutting-edge educational practices that prepare students for success in higher education and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with teachers to plan, model, co-teach, and reflect on instructional practices that support student engagement and learning.
- Review data and track students requiring intervention support.
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to teachers across all subject areas to enhance pedagogy and promote academic excellence.
- Facilitate professional development sessions aligned with school goals, and current best practices in education.
- Use data to identify instructional needs, measure progress, and guide decision-making.
- Collaborate with school leadership to implement initiatives related to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and Catholic identity.
- Support new teacher onboarding and mentoring programs.
- Support the Assistant Principal for Academics and teachers through the PLC process.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and reflective teaching.
- Assist with instructional planning aligned to state standards and the school’s mission.
- Work with the Assistant Principal for Academics on special projects
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current teaching certification/license and IVP DPS card
- Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience at the high school level.
- Deep understanding of effective instructional strategies, adult learning, and student-centered pedagogy.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in instructional coaching, teacher leadership, or curriculum development.
