We are seeking an experienced Inspector to support a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing in‑process, final, and receiving inspections on machined and assembled components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The Inspector works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams in an AS9100‑compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in‑process, final, and receiving inspections
  • Inspect machined parts, sub‑assemblies, and finished assemblies
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
  • Use precision measurement tools including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Height gauges
    • Pin gauges and indicators
  • Document inspection results and maintain traveler records
  • Identify, document, and report non‑conforming material
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities (preferred)
  • Communicate inspection findings with Manufacturing and Engineering teams
  • Maintain accurate inspection records per quality requirements
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100)
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing or aerospace inspection
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Experience inspecting tight‑tolerance precision components
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CMM or vision inspection systems
  • Prior work in an AS9100 or ISO‑regulated environment
  • Previous Aerospace industry experience

Record inspection results and maintain traveler documentation

Identify, document, and report non‑conforming material

Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities (experience preferred)

Communicate findings with Manufacturing and Engineering

Maintain inspection records per quality requirements

Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Farmingdale, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
