ProspectBlue has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in Richmond seeking an Inside Technical Sales Representative to join their growing team. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys customer interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn the technical side of industrial products and operations.
The Inside Technical Sales Representative will play a key role in supporting customers, processing orders, coordinating with suppliers, and contributing to ongoing business process improvements. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally in a collaborative, team-oriented environment supporting daily sales operations and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support customers through order entry, sales support, and ongoing relationship management
Retrieve and process sales information generated through the company’s e-commerce platform
Enter and manage customer orders within the ERP system and communicate order confirmations
Process customer credit card transactions
Respond to customer inquiries, including technical questions related to product sizing, selection, and applications
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and business partners
Participate in daily management meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with business process documentation and identify opportunities for operational improvements
Support website and e-commerce growth initiatives through feedback, content ideas, and digital strategy participation
Collaborate across departments and actively participate in company-wide initiatives and projects
Help identify root causes of issues and contribute to long-term corrective solutions
Perform additional business-related duties as needed
Qualifications:
Experience in a customer-facing sales support or inside sales role
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to a variety of audiences
Interest and willingness to learn technical concepts related to industrial filtration products
Experience working with ERP systems or similar business software
Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift efficiently between tasks throughout the day
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Interest in process improvement and operational efficiency
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered

Full-time, onsite position in Richmond, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch
