As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, IAM IGA Operations, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your foundational knowledge of automation, scripting, and infrastructure processes to support and improve identity and access management platforms. You work alongside senior engineers to build automated solutions, analyze incident data, and drive operational efficiency across the IGA ecosystem.
 Job responsibilities

 

  • Build and maintain automation scripts and tooling (Python, PowerShell) to reduce manual operational work and recurring incident volume
  • Analyze ServiceNow incident data to identify trending issues, recurring failures, and automation opportunities across IAM/IGA platforms
  • Support monitoring and alerting infrastructure using Splunk and Grafana, including dashboard creation, alert tuning, and signal-to-noise optimization
  • Develop and maintain automated remediation scripts for common incident patterns (service restarts, job failures, access request retries)
  • Partner with application teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents across MyAccess, Entitlement Manager, CertifyNow, and related IGA platforms
  • Assist with CI/CD pipeline maintenance and deployment automation using Git/GitHub
  • Contribute to operational runbooks, knowledge base articles, and incident response documentation
  • Support database operations and reporting against SQL Server for operational analytics
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for IGA platform issues

     

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

  • Formal training or 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, site reliability, or platform operations
  • Foundational knowledge of scripting in Python or PowerShell with ability to read, modify, and create automation scripts
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, or similar)
  • Exposure to incident management workflows and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure concepts including networking, databases, and application deployment
  • Willingness to learn identity and access management domain concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 
  • Experience with SQL Server or relational database querying
  • Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD concepts
  • Exposure to identity & access management (IAM), privileged access, or entitlement governance
  • Experience analyzing data to identify patterns and trends (CSV/JSON processing, basic data analytics)
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and web automation tools
