About the Opportunity

The Infrastructure Architect is a hands‑on architectural leadership role created to support our client's evolving technology strategy. This role aligns with core Infrastructure Architect responsibilities—reliability, security, scalability, and technical rigor—while focusing specifically on designing, maturing, and scaling modern platform capabilities as they are introduced and operationalized.


The team currently supports:

  • Enterprise Kubernetes platforms
  • Data Center Automation platforms
  • Hybrid and cloud virtual machine environments


The Infrastructure Architect plays a critical role in defining platform architecture and roadmap while also mentoring engineers, educating partner teams, and improving organizational readiness for these technologies. This role works closely with engineers and core infrastructure teams to translate strategy into executable designs, actively lead cross‑team engagement, and ensure platforms are secure, scalable, and sustainable as long‑term enterprise services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise infrastructure architecture: Designs secure, highly available, scalable platforms in complex enterprise environments.
  • Enterprise Kubernetes (OpenShift): Deep understanding of OpenShift architecture, cluster design, networking, storage, security models, and operational readiness.
  • Infrastructure Automation & IaC (buildfocused): Builds and structures automation platforms for reuse by multiple teams with scalability and maintainability in mind.
  • Terraform expertise: Designs modular, reusable Terraform solutions with environment isolation and safe lifecycle management.
  • Ansible expertise: Develops standardized roles, playbooks, and orchestration patterns used consistently across teams.
  • GitOps workflows: Designs Git‑driven workflows with PR‑based reviews, validation, approvals, and controlled promotion.
  • Integration mindset: Integrates Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps with enterprise tooling (secrets, CMDB, CI/CD) with attention to security and auditability.
  • Hybrid infrastructure platforms: Integrates OpenShift, automation platforms, and hybrid/on‑prem/cloud VM environments.
  • Technical documentation: Produces clear architecture, automation, and operating‑model documentation for adoption and long‑term support.

  • Opinionated, proactive technical leader: Actively drives architectural direction and engagement rather than waiting to be pulled in.
  • Strong attention to technical detail: Applies rigor and precision to design and automation decisions to identify dependencies and reduce delivery, operational, and security risk.
  • Mentorship and enablement mindset: Educates and mentors engineers and partner teams as newer platforms mature.
  • Platform and systems thinker: Understands how OpenShift, automation, virtualization, networking, security, and storage fit together as an integrated platform ecosystem.
  • Execution focused architect: Balances strategic vision with hands on involvement to deliver practical, operable solutions.
