About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, teachable, and collaborative Infrastructure Support Technician to join our team. This role supports the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our network, server, and user support systems by executing documented procedures and assisting with approved changes. The position focuses on hands-on infrastructure support, troubleshooting, and maintenance rather than system design or architecture. This is an on-site position that requires regular presence at company facilities. Occasional travel between regional locations is required, with travel times typically ranging from one to one and a half hours. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in IT infrastructure support, is comfortable following established configurations and standards, and is eager to deepen their technical skills over time. You will work closely with the Infrastructure Architect and provide operational support across networking, systems, and end-user technology. This role is well-suited for someone with 1–3 years of IT infrastructure or systems support experience who enjoys wearing multiple hats in a structured, team-oriented environment.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Help Desk support, handling incoming issues and coordinating resolution.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff as needed, while maintaining ownership of communication and follow-up.
  • Handle user onboarding and offboarding tasks, including laptop provisioning, PC imaging, account setup, and access changes following documented processes.
  • Support general hardware management, including laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and peripheral equipment.

  • Inventory & Documentation
  • Perform physical inventory audits, asset tagging, and inventory cleanup to ensure accuracy of hardware records.
  • Track and maintain IT inventory, including hardware assets, licensing, and assigned equipment.
  • Assist with compliance-related evidence collection (e.g., CMMC) and support basic documentation efforts under guidance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and support processes.
  • Follow established practices for access management documentation and credential handling.

  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and organization of existing systems, inventory, and support processes.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles and process documentation to support consistency and scalability.
  • Assist with equipment lifecycle tasks, including secure wiping and disposal of retired servers and PCs following company procedures.
