Performs close circuit televising of sanitary sewer service laterals and sewer mains throughout the city. Inputs all televising information into Win Cam and converts it to the work order system. Performs all maintenance and training of both TV truck camera system and Vivax service line camera. Indirectly supervises three employees on jobsite when supervisor in not on-site.

  • Leads and trains a crew of four employees in the cleaning and inspection of storm and sanitary sewer lines and related infrastructure
  • Performs on call duties 24 hours per day, seven days per week as assigned
  • Communicates and coordinates with supervisors on task assignments
  • Performs televising of sanitary sewer & storm lines
  • Performs trouble shooting of all televising equipment
  • Training fellow employees on proper use of televising equipment
  • Repair manholes
  • Completing televising reports and work orders
  • Running Jet Rodder/Vacuum truck when needed
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 3+ years of experience in the operation and maintenance of TV inspection equipment.

Required Licenses or Certifications

  • Class III Wastewater Collection License
  • Class D Water Distribution license.
  • Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement.

Knowledge of:

  • English grammar, spelling, punctuation
  • CCTV Inspection equipment and vac-rodder operation and safety requirements
  • Water and sewer infrastructure throughout the City and OSHA safety standards
  • Heavy equipment preventive maintenance regulations and standards
  • Safety standards, procedures, and proper vac-rodder techniques in equipment operation
  • Utility related repair practices
  • Industry practices and proper management skills
  • Modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment

Skill in:

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships.
  • Performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
  • Safe operation of heavy equipment
  • Performing basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios
