Overview
Nakupuna Prime is looking for an Industry Engagement Analyst to support the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, and Acquisition (ASN RD&A) at the Pentagon. This position is 100% on-site. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, excels at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, and is a top-notch communicator.This role is responsible for conducting in-depth research on corporate entities, analyzing financial performance, and developing executive-level briefing materials to inform strategic decision-making and high-level engagements. The analyst will manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects that facilitate communication between the DON and its industry partners.
Responsibilities

- Conducts comprehensive open-source research on key industry partners to produce detailed analyses of corporate leadership, organizational structure, and strategic initiatives.
- Analyzes and interprets corporate financial reports (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q), market data, and press releases to evaluate company financial health, performance trends, and strategic direction.
- Designs, creates, and maintains a suite of high-quality analytical products, including company biographies, financial "smart sheets," and other executive-level summaries to prepare leadership for industry engagements.
- Develops and maintains intuitive dashboards using Navy IT platforms (e.g., Advana, Jupiter) to track and visualize key industry data, engagement metrics, and portfolio health.
- Manages all facets of industry engagement projects, including coordinating with high-level internal and external stakeholders. Tracks and drives the closure of all resulting action items and taskers using designated platforms (e.g., ETMS2).
- Serves as a professional and effective liaison, facilitating clear communication between senior DON leadership (Echelon 1, SES/FO/GO) and executive partners in the defense industrial base.
- Prepare draft responses to actions in a variety of formats including email, internal memoranda, and official correspondence using congressional or DON and DoD formats.
- Prepare pre-meeting reviews, coordinate meetings, attend meetings, provide minutes for government approval, and track action items.
- Draft briefings and concept papers by compiling data and coordinating inputs.
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is familiar and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Direct experience working in a fast-paced Echelon 1, SES, Flag Officer, or General Officer environment.
- Proficiency in using government task management systems, particularly ETMS2.
- Familiarity with Navy IT and data analytics tools such as the Advana and Jupiter portals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing senior leaders.
Education and Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a role requiring analysis of corporate entities or management of industry engagement activities for the DoD, DON, or another federal agency. Proven ability to research and interpret complex documents, including financial reports, SEC filings, and other business records, to synthesize key insights. Demonstrated project management experience, including managing complex tasks with multiple stakeholders and delivering high-quality, timely results. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required. A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is highly preferred.
Clearance: Active Secret. Must be a U.S. citizen.
