The onsite provider is supported by Ascent leadership and medical oversight, with clear protocols for documentation, escalation, referral, and scope boundaries.

SCHEDULE & STRUCTURE

This is a consistent part-time contract role at 25 hours per week.

This role is based primarily in Corvallis, Oregon, with one scheduled weekly visit to an established Eugene client site. Mileage is reimbursed for required travel between the Corvallis and Eugene locations.

The schedule is flexible within weekday hours and will be built around the provider’s availability, client needs, and consistent onsite coverage. Weekend coverage is not required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct 1:1 Early Intervention appointments with employees experiencing discomfort, stiffness, fatigue, or movement limitations
  • Respond to acute onsite musculoskeletal issues within professional scope and Ascent’s Early Intervention protocols
  • Use movement assessment to identify contributors to discomfort, fatigue, and inefficient work mechanics
  • Provide hands-on soft tissue, mobility, and movement-based support within professional scope
  • Coach lifting, reaching, carrying, pushing, pulling, posture, and task-specific movement mechanics
  • Provide ergonomic cues at the task level to improve efficiency and reduce strain
  • Build trust with employees through floor presence and approachable communication
  • Attend huddles, new hire orientation touchpoints, and small group introductions as needed
  • Identify trends in discomfort, fatigue, and job-task demands
  • Complete focused documentation that supports safety, compliance, and program quality

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT

This is not a clinic productivity job. There is no insurance billing, no clinic-style productivity quota, and no back-to-back treatment schedule all day.

Instead, you are embedded in the work environment. You will learn the jobs, build relationships with employees, identify movement and fatigue patterns, and help workers address issues early.

The right person will have autonomy, support, and the chance to help build something meaningful over time.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

This role may be a great fit if you are:

  • A licensed Athletic Trainer or Physical Therapist who wants something outside the traditional clinic or sports setting
  • Interested in industrial sports medicine, occupational health, ergonomics, movement assessment, and injury prevention
  • Comfortable working with an industrial workforce
  • Approachable, practical, and able to build trust quickly
  • Confident engaging employees on the floor instead of waiting for appointments
  • Skilled at identifying movement inefficiencies, fatigue patterns, and task-related contributors to discomfort
  • Comfortable providing hands-on care, soft tissue support, mobility work, and movement coaching within your professional scope
  • A self-starter who can operate with autonomy while following a structured program model

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

Candidates must hold one of the following:

  • BOC Certified Athletic Trainer with current Oregon licensure
  • Licensed Physical Therapist or DPT with current Oregon licensure

All candidates must be in good standing within their profession and able to practice within applicable state scope, professional standards, and Ascent Health Solutions’ Early Intervention framework.

APPLY

If you are looking for a flexible, meaningful role where you can step out of the traditional clinic or sideline model and help build the future of industrial sports medicine in the Willamette Valley, we would like to talk.
