The Industrial Painter works in a small, hands-on paint building applying polyurethane coatings with a spray gun and occasionally operating blasting equipment. This physically active role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, learning to run additional machines, and taking on multiple responsibilities in a tight-knit, blue-collar shop environment.
Responsibilities
You join a laid-back, blue-collar shop that values hands-on work, independence, and skill development. When hired on, you receive 10 paid holidays, 100% paid health insurance after 60 days, and life insurance coverage after one year. You accrue two weeks of PTO after being hired on, and you can participate in a 401(k) with a 3% match, profit sharing, HSA, and an HRA where the employer covers the deductible. You also benefit from boot reimbursement after six months, with $50 provided every two years. The environment offers strong opportunities to learn welding, fabrication, or deepen your industrial painting skills, supporting long-term growth in a practical, supportive setting.
Work Environment
The role is based in a very blue-collar, laid-back shop that spans three different buildings, with the shop connected to a gas station. You work primarily in a small paint building with only 2–3 people, using spray guns, polyurethane paint, and blasting equipment. The setting is hands-on and physical, with a focus on independent work and learning to operate various machines. The culture is relaxed yet hardworking, and people with construction or similar backgrounds tend to adapt well to the environment.
