Job Title: Industrial Electrician
Job Description

This role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading electrical systems and equipment in a highly automated industrial manufacturing environment. You will ensure that all electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, outlets, and related components in industrial facilities such as factories and power plants.
  • Run and bend conduit, including performing precise conduit bending to support new installations and modifications.
  • Pull and terminate wires for low voltage and standard electrical systems, ensuring clean, organized, and code-compliant work.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot switchgear and other industrial electrical distribution equipment.
  • Regularly inspect electrical equipment and systems to identify wear, potential failures, and opportunities for preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate test equipment, including volt meters, and determine effective repair strategies.
  • Perform repairs on electrical components and systems to restore safe and reliable operation with minimal downtime.
  • Upgrade existing electrical systems and components to improve efficiency, reliability, and compliance with current standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and site-specific procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams in a highly automated facility to minimize disruptions and support continuous production.
  • Document work performed, including maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades, in accordance with site requirements.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience with industrial electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Proficiency in electrical wiring, including low voltage systems and pulling wire in industrial environments.
  • Ability to bend and run conduit accurately, including experience with conduit bending for complex layouts.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience working with switchgear and industrial electrical distribution equipment.
  • Proficiency using volt meters and other standard electrical test instruments to diagnose issues.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical safety practices and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments, particularly highly automated facilities.
  • Familiarity with low voltage installations and controls in industrial settings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance or engineering team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing neat, code-compliant electrical work.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel.

Work Environment

The position is based in a chemical manufacturing plant that operates as a highly automated facility. You will work around industrial machinery, electrical systems, and process equipment, following strict safety and compliance procedures. The role follows a first-shift schedule, typically 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will regularly use electrical tools and test equipment such as volt meters, as well as hand and power tools for conduit bending, wiring, and installation tasks. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in production and maintenance areas, and you will work both independently and alongside other maintenance and operations personnel in an industrial setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83220.80 - $83220.80/yr.
