Industrial Data Architect / Manufacturing Integration Architect

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of standardized data models, API contracts, and semantic architectures across manufacturing and operational technology (OT) environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating scalable data frameworks that integrate MES, Historian, LIMS, and other manufacturing systems with cloud platforms, digital twin solutions, and AI-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and own API contracts, data schemas, and configuration models aligned with ISA-95 standards.
  • Lead contract-first API development across enterprise and manufacturing platforms.
  • Build and maintain semantic data layers connecting OT systems to cloud ecosystems.
  • Integrate MES, Historian, LIMS, and related manufacturing systems into standardized asset and batch models.
  • Define reusable data modeling standards and governance practices.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, AI, analytics, and digital twin teams to ensure model consistency.
  • Ensure data traceability, interoperability, and consistency across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Support Industry 4.0 initiatives and enterprise manufacturing transformation programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Integration Architecture, or Manufacturing Systems Architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, and YAML schemas.
  • Experience designing canonical data models and semantic data architectures.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems including MES, Historian, LIMS, or Industrial IoT platforms.
  • Strong understanding of system integrations and enterprise data modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISA-95, OPC-UA, AWS IoT SiteWise, or similar industrial frameworks.
  • Experience supporting Digital Twin, Smart Factory, or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
