Independent Contractor – Field Installation Technician

Kwikbit is looking for an Independent Contractor – Field Installation Technician to support residential internet installations and service calls in the Orlando, FL area.

This is a 1099 contractor opportunity for someone who is comfortable working independently in the field, helping customers get connected, and representing the company professionally on-site.

Compensation

Starting at $35/hour equivalent

Consistent weekly work available

Expected 30+ hours per week

What you’ll do

• Complete residential internet installations and service calls
• Install and set up customer equipment
• Configure routers and basic Wi-Fi settings
• Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve service issues
• Run and secure cabling neatly and professionally
• Document completed work and communicate updates clearly
• Provide a strong customer experience during each visit

What we’re looking for

• Experience in telecom, broadband, cable, satellite, low-voltage, or field service work preferred
• Basic networking and Wi-Fi knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working outdoors and using ladders when needed
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Able to work independently and manage assigned jobs efficiently
• Professional communication and customer service skills
