Person County Government is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our Department of Social Services as an Income Maintenance Caseworker II (IMC II). This position plays a vital role in supporting our community and is assigned to either the Medicaid or Food & Nutrition Services Unit within the Income Maintenance Program.

The mission of this unit is to ensure accurate administration of program policies while helping individuals and families access essential benefits that promote health, stability, and well-being.

The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.


Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.


This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.




Required Minimum Training:
  • One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or as an Eligibility Specialist.
  • If the required minimum training is not met, consideration will be for an Income Maintenance Caseworker I working against an Income Maintenance Caseworker II.
