Import / Export logistic Coordinator - Global Freight Forwarder (35259)

A global freight forwarding company is seeking an Import / Export logistic Coordinator to join their office in Jamaica, NY. 1~3+ years of working experience in the freight forwarding industry or work experience in customer service field preferred, a A.A. degree, and excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). This is a full-time and direct hire position. Entry-level candidates and new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply!

Import / Export logistic Coordinator Duties:

• Coordinate international air, ocean, and ground freight shipments
• Arrange bookings with airlines, steamship lines, and trucking companies
• Prepare and review shipping documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, B/L, AWB)
• Manage AES filings and export documentation
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and export control requirements
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and documentation requirements
• Work closely with customs brokers and overseas agents
• Monitor cargo movement and resolve delays or discrepancies
• Maintain accurate shipment records in TMS / ERP systems
• Support government-related shipments in compliance with federal regulations

Import / Export logistic Coordinator Skills:

• 1~3 + years of experience in freight forwarding or international logistics
• Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight operations
• Experience preparing export documentation and AES filings
• Understanding of Incoterms and international shipping terms
• Familiarity with U.S. Customs procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills
• Japanese language will be an asset, not mandatory
• Due to the nature of certain government-related shipments and applicable export control regulations, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
