SUMMARY

A hydraulic system engineer for construction machinery is responsible for designing, analyzing, and integrating high pressure fluid power systems (pumps, valves, motors) with the machine’s structures (chassis, booms, frames). This role focuses on ensuring that the hydraulic systems operate safely and efficiently within the mechanical limitations of heavy equipment like excavators, wheel loader, or compactors. Must be fluent in Mandarin and English.

  • Design & Integration: Design and review hydraulic systems, including component placement, hose routing, and integration with powertrain, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Structural Integrity: Ensure that the structural frames and attachments can handle the loads, pressures, and stresses generated by the hydraulic power.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize the hydraulic system for maximum efficiency, safety, and reliability while adhering to cost targets and manufacturing constraints.
  • Prototyping: Participate in prototype machine builds and testing to identify and fix performance issues.
  • System Modeling & Design: Create and review 3D models and schematic drawings for hydraulic systems and supporting structures.
  • Component Selection: Specify pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves tailored to specific vehicle performance goals.
  • Stress Analysis: Review finite element analysis (FEA) or use other simulation tools to evaluate structural stress under varied loads.
  • Troubleshooting: Conduct root cause analysis on hydraulic failures.
  • Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to industry standards (ISO, ANSI, SAE) and safety regulations.
  • Technical Documentation: Complete drawing packages, bill of materials (BOM), and validation reports.
  • Travel is required up to 25% - 40%
  • Must have valid US work visa; no sponsorship offered
