As a Human Resources Analyst/Specialist, you'll help create a positive impression for every person who requires HR assistance. In this role, you will:
Greets visitors, and staff with kindness and professionalism;Maintainexceptional level of customer service;
Accepts, screens and verifies applications for qualification purposes;
Works closely with program office management and leadership to fill vacancies by new hire, promotion, or detail;
- Works closely with program office managers and leadership to draft job postings in compliance with Civil Service, LDOE, and EEO rules and regulations;
- Calculates and processes compensation based on Civil Service and LDOE rules and policies;
Onboard processing for internal and external applicants onto the LDOE team utilizing both NeoGov and LaGov software;
Supports theHRteamthrough cross training and regular check-ins with supervisor.

Appointment Type:Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment.The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office.Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.

Work Schedule:Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
