Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain HSE processes, procedures, and the EPS Global HSE Management System (HSE 360).
  • Support OSHA, TCEQ, and other regulatory compliance activities.
  • Lead or support incident investigations and injury-prevention efforts.
  • Partner with leadership and employees to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Maintain environmental compliance, including reporting for storm water, air permits, and waste disposal.
  • Manage hazardous communication programs and Safety Data Sheets.

Job Duties

  • Conduct and document required HSE inspections and audits.
  • Deliver HSE orientation and training to new employees.
  • Review and update HSE policies, procedures, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
  • Initiate work orders for HSE-related equipment repairs.
  • Coordinate with HR and Workers’ Compensation personnel during injury cases.
  • Serve as the main contact during internal and external HSE inspections.
  • Lead toolbox talks and participate in HSE meetings.
  • Perform administrative work (40–50%) and work on the production floor (50–60%).
  • Travel approximately 5% annually.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in HSE, science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HSE experience.
  • ASP, CSP, or CSHO certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements (including CFR Titles 29 and 40).
  • Strong communication and training skills.
