Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist based in Louisville, KY. The HSE Specialist will oversee and implement safety protocols and programs in accordance with regulations to ensure a safe work environment. Responsibilities include conducting safety training, facilitating audits and inspections, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, and providing support for occupational health and EHS initiatives. The role also involves drafting safety documentation, offering safety guidance to teams, and assisting with emergency management practices.


Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
  • Strong knowledge of Workplace Safety and experience in conducting safety training programs
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as OSHA and DOT standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to conduct job site audits, inspections, and accident investigations
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing safety programs and procedures
  • Experience in construction site management or emergency management is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or OSHA certifications are highly desirable
