HRIS Junior Analyst

Job Summary 

The Junior HRIS Analyst will be part of the HRIS team and will be serving as the first point of contact for HRIS operational support on MAREK’s Oracle Cloud HCM and Talent products.  This position will prioritize and coordinate activities to ensure that proper functionality is maintained for MAREK’s business needs. Additional responsibilities include providing end-user support and training. In short, this position will support Core HR and Talent products including system administration, system security, reporting and data analytics, system maintenance, training and may have the responsibility to configure system components, as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues reported by end-users following SDLC best practices. This comprises of research, unit test, proper approvals, and migration strategies.

  • Coordinating escalations with the HRIS team to obtain support from Managed Services/Oracle Support teams.

  • Conduct periodic system access reviews to ensure compliance with logical access control policies and perform immediate correction of any issues identified.

  • Work with other team members to automate routine tasks and improve overall efficiency of the department.

  • Assist with HCM reporting and analytics needed by the business.

  • Assist with documenting all system configurations/enhancements.

  • Adhere to Marek ITGC policies:

    • Source code/document version control procedures - controls designed to protect the integrity of program code.

    • Incident management policies and procedures - controls designed to address operational processing errors.

    • Problem management policies and procedures - controls designed to identify and address the root cause of incidents.

    • Technical support policies and procedures - policies to help users perform more efficiently and report problems.

  • Responsible for creation and delivery of end-user and administrator support and training for Oracle Fusion HCM and Talent products.

  • Managing a queue of issues and enhancement requests; providing regular, timely status updates and deliverables on projects and support tickets.

  • Following Marek’s change control procedures, establish and maintain login credentials and security permissions for new and existing employees.

  • Build custom BI reports as needed to research, analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot data.

  • Perform other assignments and special projects, as assigned.

     

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 5+ years functional HR background (HR Generalist, benefits, etc.)

  • Previous experience working for a construction company and/or with a bilingual workforce is a plus

Skills

  • Strong understanding of the HR and Talent functions and processes

  • Ability to work independently yet collaborate effectively

  • Aptitude for teaching/training groups and individuals

  • Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and written, and capable of conveying information effectively and openly with team members and business users at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to provide clear direction and commitment to meet obligations as well as share responsibility and accountability for goal achievement or failure with team members and business users

  • Capable of using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to solving problems

  • Assists with HRIS data audits and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Basic understanding of SQL is preferred 

  • Project management experience is preferred 

  • Ability to understand technical documentation

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with highly proficient with Excel

  • Must be highly organized, with the ability to prioritize responsibilities

  • Interpersonal skills exhibiting values of honesty, integrity, respect, and accountability

  • Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop, for extended periods of time creating, composing and reviewing documents and spreadsheets. 

  • Able to operate office equipment, including telephone, mobile phone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner and calculator.

  • Able to access and navigate construction jobsites periodically.  This can include climbing stairs and/or ladders
