Primary Services is actively recruiting for an HR Specialist on behalf of a large, well-established organization. This role offers broad exposure across core HR disciplines and the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-level initiatives that align people strategies with business objectives. The HR Specialist will provide comprehensive operational, analytical, and advisory HR support while partnering closely with leaders and employees across the organization.
Please note: This is a fully in-office position located in Katy, TX (no remote or hybrid options).
Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve HR programs, processes, and policies across workforce planning, talent acquisition, development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and risk management.
- Support workforce planning and employment strategies to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met.
- Develop and administer human resource development initiatives aligned to current and future business and employee needs.
- Support compensation and benefits programs to maintain competitiveness and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Administer employee and labor relations programs to balance organizational and employee needs while ensuring compliance.
- Identify and implement methods to communicate employer branding to employees, candidates, and external talent sources.
- Provide data-driven HR guidance on organizational, cultural, and people-related implications of business decisions.
- Monitor, interpret, and report on HR trends, legislative updates, and regulatory changes impacting the organization.
- Support recruiting activities, including professional and technical hiring, onboarding, and workforce transitions.
- Utilize HR systems and reporting tools to analyze metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience across multiple HR functional areas.
- At least 2 years of non-agency professional and technical recruiting experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, regulatory guidelines, and HR compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and improving HR programs and processes.
- Working knowledge of HRMS/HRIS platforms and payroll system functionality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience supporting workforce planning, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, and HR reporting.
- This role is 100% in-office at Katy, TX; Ability to travel into the Katy office.
- HR certification such as SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SHRM-CP, or GPHR preferred.
