North America being one of our fastest growing markets, we are looking for a seasoned HR Manager to take over the HR management for USA and Canada (60 employees). This is a great challenge if you are looking for a generalist position in a lean organization, allowing you to take initiatives and implement new processes.



As the only HR Manager in North America, you will closely work with the Group HR team based in the France HQ.


Your main activities will be:


1. Payroll & HR Administration

  • Oversee and manage payroll process (internal or outsourced), ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain employee records (contracts, benefits, absences, HRIS data)
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, and reporting requirements
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and leave programs


2. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Define recruitment needs with leadership
  • Manage full hiring cycle: job descriptions, sourcing, interviews, offers
  • Lead onboarding and integration process
  • Build employer branding and candidate experience


3. Immigration status tracking & oversight

  • Anticipate and track immigration status for current employees
  • Coordinate with external counsels on individual cases
  • Stay up to date with latest regulations and ensure company compliance


4. Learning, Development & Talent Management

  • Identify training needs and build development plans
  • Coordinate training programs and track completion
  • Support career development and succession planning


5. Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Act as primary contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution
  • Support managers on performance reviews and disciplinary processes
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement
  • Manage grievances and ensure fair, consistent practices


6. HR Policies, Compliance & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal standards
  • Monitor HR KPIs (turnover, headcount, absenteeism, etc.)
  • Provide reporting and insights to leadership


7. Strategic HR Partnership

  • Advise leadership on workforce planning, organization design, and compensation
  • Support company growth and organizational changes
  • Lead HR initiatives with engagement toward local communities (colleges, schools, talent pools…



Qualifications & Skills


Experience

  • 10+ years in HR generalist or HR manager roles
  • Experience in small or mid-sized organizations preferred (hands-on, autonomous)

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes (payroll, recruitment, compliance)
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems
  • Solid understanding of labor law and HR best practices

Soft Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • High organization and multitasking capability
  • Problem-solving mindset with business orientation
