JOB TITLE:
Technology Transfer Office Intern
JOB PURPOSE:
Interns will assist in the promotion in the utilization and commercialization of the University’s research outcomes and activities. More specifically, interns will assist in the following areas: (1) assessment and analysis of new technologies, (2) development of cost-effective intellectual property protection strategies, (3) identification of specific markets and market niches related to these commercialization opportunities; (4) develop marketing materials, (5) develop effective social media strategies to promote the technology transfer activities of the university, and (6) negotiation of various research promotion and commercialization agreements.

• Types of intellectual property agreements
• Developing licensing strategies
• Option and License agreements; anatomy of such agreements; extracting value
• Implementing a Patent Cooperation Treaty strategy
• Negotiation skills
• Creating start-up companies
• Licensing support activities; compliance; databases
• Ethics
