How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Provide behavioral health counseling, including individual and group therapy, based on patient assessments and established treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation and evaluate patient progress to adjust therapeutic interventions as needed.
- Educate patients on community resources and therapeutic activities to support ongoing recovery.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and community providers to ensure coordinated care from admission through discharge.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- One or more of the following required:
- Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional
Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or transfer date.
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credentialed from the Illinois Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Illinois Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- Masters Degree in Counseling, psychology or social work.
- Experience or education with grief strongly preferred.
- 1+ year of clinical experience
