Description:Hospice Clinical Educator

As a Hospice Clinical Educator, you’ll be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of education for home care and/or hospice with an emphasis on ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Works in collaboration with the hospice and/or home care managers to ensure orientation, competency development and integration of new colleagues as well as the ongoing development of current staff.

Minimum qualifications
Graduate of an approved Nursing education program, bachelor’s in nursing is preferred.
Master’s Degree in OT or ST or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy may be considered (Home Care only)
Certification in OASIS within one year (Home Care only)
Ten years of nursing practice including five in Hospice is preferred. Related experience in end-of-life care, home health or oncology is a plus (Hospice only).
Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care is required within one year of employment (Hospice only)
CPR Instructor Certification preferred.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications for creation of instructional documents, course curriculums, orientation materials and related visual aides
Must possess accurate and clear oral & written communication skills
Ability to consistently demonstrate commitment to the mission and Organizational Code of Ethics and adhere to the Compliance Program.
