Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is looking for a Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) for our client in Augusta, Maine.


Location: Augusta, Maine

Schedule: 40 hours a week, 12-week Temporary Assignment with potential for extension

Pay Rate Range: $51.60/hr to $54.80/hr


Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes. The RN serves as a case manager, coordinating care with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote health, independence, and quality of life. Care is delivered according to physician orders, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments in the home setting.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and providers.
  • Provide skilled nursing interventions including wound care, medication management, infusion therapy, and health monitoring.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, treatments, and self-care.
  • Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate significant changes to the care team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
  • Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.


Qualifications:


Education

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).


Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience required.
  • Home health experience preferred.


Licensure & Certifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine
  • Current CPR/BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification
  • Home Health or Community Health Nursing certification (encouraged)


Requirements

  • Valid Maine driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Proof of automobile insurance
  • Ability to work independently in a home care environment
  • Willingness to participate in weekend, holiday, evening, and on-call rotations as needed


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Travel to patient homes throughout the service area
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and stair climbing
  • Ability to carry a nursing bag and clinical equipment
  • Exposure to infectious diseases and varied home environments


Clinical Skills

Experience with or competency in:

  • Health assessments
  • Aseptic technique and venipuncture
  • Wound care and medication management
  • Home glucose monitoring and pulse oximetry
  • Infusion therapy
  • Patient and caregiver education
  • Safety and environmental assessments
