Position Summary

The Billing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our revenue cycle operations. This position is responsible for auditing claims, reviewing documentation for compliance, posting payments, and assisting with claim submission and follow-up. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit claims for accuracy and completeness prior to billing submission.
• Verify authorizations, eligibility, and supporting documentation.
• Submit, monitor, and track insurance claims.
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate with insurance companies, referral sources, and agency staff regarding billing matters.
• Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and collections efforts.
• Support the billing department with additional administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and billing software (ContinuLink, QuickBooks)
• Willingness to learn billing software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
