Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Histotechnologist to join our healthcare team in Plano, TX. This role involves performing a wide range of clinical and research laboratory procedures to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and scientific investigations. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive laboratory experience, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis, while demonstrating a strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and pathology.   • Collect and process various biological specimens using aseptic techniques to ensure sample integrity
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols
  • Prepare samples for analysis, including staining, and microscopy
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functioning
  • Follow strict safety and infection control standards to uphold aseptic techniques
  • Support patient care activities by understanding medical terminology and physiological concepts
  • Collaborate with medical staff to interpret laboratory findings relevant to patient diagnosis
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance standards

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in clinical histology laboratories is required; hospital experience is a must
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pathology, and laboratory procedures
  • Hands-on experience with phlebotomy and specimen handling protocols
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration processes
  • Strong understanding of vital signs measurement and aseptic techniques
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
