Key Responsibilities
Tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens
Sectioning tissues using microtomy techniques to prepare high-quality slides
Performing routine, special staining, and IHC/IF procedures
Whole slide scanning
Maintenance of laboratory equipment
Ensuring quality control and accurate documentation of laboratory procedures
Collaborating with pathologists and research scientists to support ongoing projects
Must Have:
- Microtomy skill
- Experience with FFPE tissue block sectioning
- Bachelors degree in histotechnology or a related field
- ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL), or eligibility to obtain certification
- Proficiency in microtomy, tissue processing, embedding, and staining techniques
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail, manual dexterity, and organizational skills
- Excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment
