Hiring Both Journeyman Plumbers & Journeyman Electricians – Des Moines, IA

*Overview: One of the top contractors in the Des Moines metro is seeking experienced tradespeople to support commercial and residential projects. This role is ideal for candidates who are licensed in either plumbing or electrical work and want steady, long‑term employment with a reputable local team.

*Journeyman Plumber Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems, fixtures, and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job layouts.
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and ensure all work meets code requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades on job‑site coordination.
*Journeyman Electrician Responsibilities
  • Install and service electrical systems, wiring, panels, and components.
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on electrical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
  • Work safely around energized systems and follow all job‑site protocols.
*Qualifications
  • Active journeyman license in plumbing or electrical (Iowa).
  • Strong understanding of trade‑specific codes and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license along with reliable transportation

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
