Job Description

• The position involves working at Camp Pendleton, assisting mechanics, welders, and fitters with various tasks. This role is open to entry-level candidates and offers a fantastic opportunity to grow into skilled trades such as mechanic, welder, or electrician. Expect to work extensively on Fridays and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics, welders, and fitters with various tasks.
• Utilize hand and power tools in daily operations.
• Support in electrical and plumbing tasks as needed.
• Ensure reliability and punctuality in all work assignments.
• Lift and maneuver items weighing over 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

• Experience with facilities and hand tools.
• Familiarity with power tools and electrical systems.
• Understanding of plumbing basics.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Reliability and strong work ethic.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools is a plus.

Work Environment

• The role is based in a hangar, working indoors but in an open space. Employees will work on LCACs, which are 80-foot hovercraft boats, offering a unique and dynamic work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camp Pendleton North, CA.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr.
