Heavy Truck Shop Supervisor, Evening Shift

Job Summary 
The Maintenance Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading evening maintenance operations across three WM locations - McFarland, Fresno, and Visalia - providing direct oversight, coaching, and development of technicians while ensuring preventive maintenance and standard reports are completed efficiently. This on-site role requires regular weekly travel between locations, strong time management, and the ability to prioritize work across multiple shops to support safe, reliable fleet operations. Schedule: 1:00PM - 11:30PM, Monday through Friday
 

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
 

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of employees in the maintenance shop.
• Coordinates and supervises all maintenance work and repairs, and monitors progress and quality.
• Reviews driver repairs and other maintenance requests and prepares work order documents.
• Performs mechanical duties as needed.
• Monitors inventory of replacement parts and restocks as needed.
• Oversees personnel including coaching, training, evaluating employee performance, and conducting disciplinary action as needed. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
• Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations.
• Creates and submits reports as necessary.

 

III. Qualifications 

A. Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) 
• 4 years years of relevant work experience. (in addition to education requirements) 
• Valid Driver's License

Pay: The expected base pay range for this office/on-site position is $71,190 - $94,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
