HVAC & Plumbing Mechanical Superintendent
Job Duties
- Lead and supervise daily on-site mechanical construction activities, including HVAC and plumbing installations.
- Direct and coordinate mechanical subcontractors, manpower, and work sequencing to meet project schedule and quality requirements.
- Coordinate mechanical activities with electrical, civil, structural, and architectural trades to avoid conflicts.
- Plan and manage daily and weekly work plans, including short-term and look-ahead schedules.
- Monitor labor productivity, material availability, and site readiness.
- Identify constructability, access, or sequencing issues and proactively coordinate solutions with the project team.
- Ensure mechanical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
- Perform field inspections and verify readiness for inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Support punch list development, corrective actions, and close-out activities.
- Enforce project safety plans and OSHA requirements for all mechanical activities.
- Conduct or participate in toolbox talks and job hazard analyses.
- Identify unsafe conditions and ensure immediate corrective actions are implemented.
- Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and submittals from a constructability and field execution perspective.
- Assist in preparing and coordinating RFIs related to the mechanical scope of work.
- Support technical coordination with design consultants, vendors, and internal engineering teams.
- Provide field input for change events and constructability-driven solutions.
- Maintain daily field reports, manpower tracking, and progress records.
- Support preparation of as-built documentation and mechanical system turnover packages.

Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with prior experience in large-scale industrial projects, such as manufacturing plants, semiconductor facilities, energy projects, data centers, or similar industrial developments, in a similar role
